We now have Rotem monitoring of coagulation available on CICU at HH.
Please contact Dr Morrison or one of the trained ODP’s Nurses for early use until everyone is trained.
It is a visual machine in terms of results so you need to know normal and abnormal tracings to interpret the results in context of you patient.

A good plan is do Intem or Extem and a Fibtem, only doing a Heptem if you suspect you have residual heparin effects-but need a Intem to compare with Heptem.
