At Hammersmith, we are used to seeing the gift of organ donation with renal and pancreatic organs being implanted frequently. Sadly we are but occasionally involved in Organ Harvest by the Transplant Service.
This gift of life can only come through the generosity of Donors. There is a National Level drive to improve the quality of care of organ donors to improve their health and the qualities of the organs that are released for donation.
