Outlined in the attached document is a run-through of general medical care that we provide on the intensive care unit. A thorough review of patients is essential to ensure good quality care and planning for our patients.
We would encourage you to ask questions and raise any queries with the ICU trainees and consultants alike.
We are also mindful that many of you have ICU experience but would ask that you work within the boundaries of your experience and call for help early. We reiterate that we do not expect you to alter the ventilation settings or medications without discussion with the ICU consultant first.
