Single bleep system across all sites
The move to a new unified bleep system covering all three main sites has now been completed.
For the first time, bleep users can now be contacted on and from any site using the same bleep number. Across all our sites users can bleep each other directly without coming through the operator. And the access codes 456 and 81 both connect to the same bleep system and can be used on any site.
For bleep users at St Mary’s Hospital there is one change: you now need to input # after you the bleep number and extension for the paging call to be placed. This will be familiar to staff on other sites as it was already a requirement with the old system.
The telecoms team would like to thank the crash teams for their support during this changeover process. Without your help and co-operation we would not have been able to achieve this system wide change.
